UST-M Inline Water Softening Filter 1/4″ Push-Fit – Ion Exchange Inline water softening filter for water preparation using ion exchange. Designed for systems using 1/4″ push-fit (quick connector) tubing. Ion exchange softening Calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for harmless sodium ions. In favourable conditions, it can reduce total hardness (GH) to very low values, even close to 0. The achieved result depends on input water parameters and the capacity of the ion exchange media. Use – In-line water filtration and RO setups where softening is required – Prepare water outside the aquarium, then use the prepared water for changes Connection – 1/4″ push-fit (quick connector), not threaded Production – Made in Europe
