Help & FAQ
Is it free to advertise?
Yes. The Aviary Hub is free to advertise on for the foreseeable future. Any future paid options will be announced clearly before they apply, and your first advert will always remain free.
What can I advertise here?
Birds, Rabbits, Small Pets, Cats, Reptiles, Fish, and second-hand Pet Accessories. Dogs and horses are not part of this marketplace.
Do I need to register with DAFM?
Some sellers may be legally required to register with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine before selling pets. See our DAFM Information page for details.
How do I report a listing?
Use the “Report this advert” link on the listing itself, or visit our Report an Advert page.
Does The Aviary Hub handle payment, delivery or ownership of animals?
No. The Aviary Hub is a listings platform only. We do not sell, own, or transport any of the animals or items advertised here. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and collection directly and are responsible for doing so safely – see our Buyer & Seller Safety page.
Can I post or courier a live animal to a buyer?
Ordinary postal delivery of a live animal is never permitted on The Aviary Hub. Animals may only change hands by in-person collection or by a specialist live-animal courier arranged directly between buyer and seller – The Aviary Hub does not vet, certify, or guarantee any courier. See our Animal Welfare Policy for the full transport and collection rules.
