NATURAL DOG CHEWS – DRIED BEEF HIDES. Dried hides are sensational chews for dogs of all sizes. They are among the hardest and most durable chews and have a relatively neutral smell. Dried skins satisfy the need to chew, massage the gums and clean tartar. Skins are a fairly safe chew for dogs, as even if a larger piece is swallowed, the dog will manage to digest it. Beef hides are of similar toughness to pork and boar hides. More brittle are deer and roe deer hides. The latter two are well defatted, while the tougher ones may locally have small amounts of fat that is very appetizing to dogs. The chews are dried with warm air at low temperatures. The drying process ensures complete epidemiological safety, without the use of chemicals or preservatives.
