As experienced Ringneck owners will know, being a little hand-shy isn’t unusual with Ringnecks, even when they have been hand-reared. As youngsters grow, become more independent and take to their wings, their behaviour can change.
He was an incredibly cuddly baby while being hand-reared, but he’s now discovering his independence. He will step up, but he needs someone who understands that building a strong bond with a Ringneck takes patience, consistency and trust.
With the right person willing to put that time into him, he has the potential to become a wonderful companion. 💛
