Aquatest pHx2 is used to measure the pH in the general range 4.5-9.0 with an accuracy of 0.5 and in the narrowed range 6.0-8.0 with an accuracy of 0.2. Too high a pH causes alkaline disease, too low an acidic one. Major changes in pH over a short period of time should definitely be avoided.
