What you’ll need
- At least one clear photo of the actual bird you’re advertising.
- The species/breed, sex (if known), and approximate age.
- Your asking price, or a note if you’re rehoming rather than selling.
- Your county, so buyers nearby can find you.
Steps
- Log in or create a free account, then go to Post an Advert.
- Choose the correct category and species for your bird – this is what lets buyers searching for that species actually find your advert.
- Fill in the details, upload your photo(s), and confirm the welfare declaration.
- Submit – most adverts are reviewed and published quickly, though some categories or first-time sellers may be held for a manual check.
Is it really free?
Yes – placing an advert costs nothing. See our homepage for current details on how long free advertising runs for.
Why is my advert pending?
New sellers and certain species/categories are held for a quick manual review before publishing, as part of our welfare and accuracy checks – this is normal and not a rejection.
