Pet Shop / Business Seller Terms
These terms apply to approved Pet Shop and other business/trader seller accounts on The Aviary Hub, in addition to our main Terms and Conditions.
Business sellers must:
- provide accurate business and contact information;
- identify themselves as a trader, not a private seller – see our Trader and Consumer Information page;
- comply with consumer and product-safety law, including our Product Safety Policy;
- comply with animal welfare and DAFM registration rules where applicable – see our DAFM Information page;
- maintain their own records;
- display total prices clearly, with no concealed fees;
- honour mandatory consumer rights;
- avoid misleading claims;
- respond to complaints promptly;
- ensure any product sold is safe and lawful.
Pet Shop product listings require the seller’s account to be manually approved as a verified Pet Shop / business seller before they publish – unapproved attempts are held back automatically.
A three-tier Pet Shop subscription (Starter, Standard, Premium) is built and configured for approved Pet Shop sellers, entirely separate from the live-animal advert fee, but remains inactive until the owner approves activation. We may request verification and may suspend a business account where information is incomplete or misleading.
